Knights of the Round Table, 50th Night Celebrations

Ros Blair

Belfast’s Knights of the Round Table Arts Collective has been running its popular “Knights Nights” for several years now, most usually at the Pavilion Bar in south Belfast.  Though built around music, the evenings aim to bring together a wide variety of performance styles, particularly beat poetry and visual art, under the umbrella of one packed, fun social evening.  The fiftieth Pavilion gig fell recently on the 27th of June, 2008, and so the Knights had a big party for friends, well-wishers, and pretty much anybody else who felt like wandering in off the street to join in the fun.  The night’s entertainment included heaps of the best Knights-associated local music, beat poetry, art and other festivities.
